A dishwasher rack falls off when the clips holding the rack in place are broken or missing. They form a stop that keeps the rack from moving too far forward. Look at the end of the track for a cap. If it isn’t there or if it is broken, it should be replaced.

You can reset Maytag dishwasher light flashing by pressing the ‘High Temp Wash’ and ‘Heated Dry’ buttons in sequence until all of the lights on the control panel are illuminated. If your dishwasher does not have a ‘Heated Dry’ button, press either the ‘Air Dry’ or ‘Energy Saver’ button instead.

If your Maytag dishwasher beeps when done, the wash cycle is complete. Opening the door will silence the alert. It will also beep if the pump drain filter is dirty or clogged. Cleaning the filter before starting a new cycle will silence the beeping.

The water temperature can not be hot enough, or the soap can be clumpy before use. If the hot water is all used up, for example if a lot of hot water has been used recently and none is available for the dishwasher the soap can not dissolve. Old powdered soap can be clumpy and won’t dissolve.

It is caused by the spray arm being obstructed, the dishwasher being dirty, the water temperature being too low, or the water pressure being too low. A Maytag dishwasher should be cleaned monthly using affresh® tablets. Ensure nothing is blocking the spray arm from spinning.
