Samsung Phone Not Receiving Texts

Nothing is more frustrating than getting important messages on your Samsung phone that you have been waiting for late. Oftentimes, this can be caused by a corrupted Cache on your Samsung phone which is affecting message loading times.

Then tap on the Storage option and then on the Clear Cache option.

You can also try to take the messaging app off of the battery optimization list. Go to Settings and then to Device Maintenance and then tap on the Battery option.

Scroll down and then tap on the option for Always Sleeping Apps. Tap on the Toggle option that you can find in front of the Messaging App to turn it off.

Now, go ahead and start the phone again to see if the problem persists or has been fully resolved.  

Samsung Receiving Messages Twice

Receiving the same text message twice is extremely annoying and aggravating. This usually happens due to a problem with your Samsung phone’s software. Because of this error, your Samsung phone fails to signal your network that it has received the initial message and so the network sends the same message again.

If you want to fix the issue that is leading to receiving messages twice, first, check to see that all the software on your Samsung phone is up to date. Go to Settings and then to About Device and then to Software Update. Now, perform a backup and restore as outlined below.

Go to Settings again and then go to More and then select Mobile Networks. Now, tap on Carrier Settings and then select Update Profile.

If you still need to address this further, go to Settings and then go to More and then go to Cellular Networks. Now, go to Carrier Settings and then go to Update Device.

Allow this process to fully complete itself and then you can test to see if the problem is continuing by sending a text message to your

own Samsung phone to see if it is still being received twice.
