When turning on your Vizio TV, you should be able to access any available application with the click of a button. This process should be simplistic and rather easy to complete, as the simple click of the ‘Home’ button on your remote control will instantly take you to any app you have ever downloaded. Once you find the Netflix app within the app list and you go to open it, what do you do when it won’t play, load, or connect?

If Netflix will not play, load, or connect, you should make sure that your TV is connected to a network with a suitable download speed, power cycle the television, or perform a factory reset on your television. Go through these troubleshooting steps to get Netflix back into working order.

To check the network status on your Vizio TV, you will need to hit the ‘Menu’ button that on the remote control and select ‘Network,’ which will be displayed on the screen of your TV. You will then select ‘Network Test/Test Connection’ which will show you whether or not your TV has the proper download speed or connection so that applications like Netflix can run. You should have a network speed of 5 Mbps or more for Netflix to run.

If your network connection or speed is not the issue, power cycling your television may be helpful. To do this you will unplug your TV directly from its power source and hold down the power button, that is on the television, for five seconds. Once this time has passed, release the power button and plug the TV back into the power source. You can also try to reset the TV from the muy by selecting ‘System’ > ‘Reset & Admin’ > ‘Soft Power Cycle.’

Once you have power cycled your TV, either through a physical reset or by resetting it through the menu, but notice that Netflix is still not playing, loading, or connecting, it may be time to initiate a factory reset on your TV. Once you go to open an application on your Vizio TV, there will be a moment where the application takes time to load. Once this process stops, you will be led into the interface of the app so that you can access the content from within, however, this should only take a few seconds to complete. If you notice that the Netflix app on your Vizio TV is not loading and it will not progress from this page, take a look below to find out how you can resolve the issue.

If Netflix is not loading on your Vizio TV, try restarting the application, signing in and out of Netflix, or updating your Vizio TV with the latest firmware. Take time to go through all of these methods of troubleshooting to get Netflix loading without issue once again.

If Netflix is not loading on your Vizio TV, first try restarting the application. To do this, you will exit out of the Netflix app. You can either do this by exiting from the application itself or by simply pressing the ‘Home’ button on your remote control, which will take you to the home screen of your Vizio TV. Once you have exited from the application, you can then navigate back to the app from the home screen and try to open it and load it once more.

If exiting out of Netflix does not prevent the app from continually loading, try signing in and out of Netflix. To sign out of Netflix from your Vizio TV, from the Home screen, scroll to the ‘Settings’ and locate the ‘Reset/Sign Out/Deactivate’ and choose the option to sign out of the app. Once you have completely signed out, open the application back up again and log in with your username or email as well as your password to see if this stops loading issues.

Once you have logged in and out of Netflix but are still not able to resolve the issue of the app continually loading, it may be time to check your Vizio TV for any firmware updates. To find out if there are any new updates on your Vizio TV, press the “Menu’ button on your remote control and find ‘System’ > ‘Check for Updates’ > ‘OK’ > and if there are any updates available, your TV will automatically start, process, and complete the firmware update.

Once you have found the Netflix app, have selected it to download, watch as it loads, and then have it as a functioning app on your Vizio TV, you should be able to open it with ease and have access to any content within it. However, some Vizio TV owners who subscribe to Netflix have voiced problems with the app not playing once they have selected a movie or TV show to start watching from the application.

If Netflix will not play from your Vizio TV, it could be a problem with your network connection. To troubleshoot, confirm that other devices on the same network are able to function properly, power cycle your router, or reset your TV to its factory default settings to get Netflix playing.

If Netflix will not play from your Vizio TV, first confirm that your network is functioning properly by checking on another device. Take either a laptop or phone that is using the same network your TV is on and bring it into the same room that your TV is located. If the device works as it should on the same network, then the TV should be able to connect as well. If not, it could be that your router is encountering issues.

Once you have checked the connection and notice that there may be a problem with your network, you will then need to proceed with power cycling your router. To do this, unplug the router directly from its power source and allow it to sit for 10 seconds before plugging it back in. Once this time has passed, plug it back in and allow the router to reboot before trying to restart Netflix.

If you have reset your router and are still not able to play anything from Netflix, it could be helpful to reset your TV to its factory defaults. To complete this, press the ‘Menu’ button on your remote control > ‘System’ > ‘Reset & Admin’ > ‘Reset TV to Factory Defaults/Clear Memory.’ This should cause your TV to be reset to factory settings without you having to do anything further.

Netflix is a streaming app that, once downloaded to your Vizio TV, is used through the use of a network connection. This connection must be made in order for the content on the app to properly function, but even for the app itself to appear and open within your TV. If you have a Vizio TV as well as Netflix subscription, but notice that the app is not connecting, take a look below to find a few different solutions to resolve your connection issues.

If Netflix is not connecting on your Vizio TV, check to make sure that other devices are able to function on your network, that you are using the correct password for your specific network, or reset your router to get Netflix to connect to your Vizio TV.

When applications are not able to connect to your Vizio TV, many times, it can be due to a connection issue that individuals were not previously aware of, rather than a problem within the TV as some may suspect. To see if there is an issue with your network, take another device and try to use the same network to see if it will function. If it will not, then you may need to reset your router, which can be found next.

To reset your router after confirming that there are network stability issues that prevent Netflix from connecting, you can look back at the previous section “Vizio TV Won’t Play Netflix’ to find the step-by-step guide to reset a router. It is essential that you allow your router enough time to reboot once the reset process has taken place, otherwise, you will still be met with a connection problem if you try to access the Netflix app too early.

If neither of these is the problem, it could be that your Vizio TV is not connected to the internet due to you inputting the wrong password. Network passwords are case sensitive and require users to put in the password exactly as it has been saved. Try inputting your password into another device, such as a laptop, to make the process a bit easier, but to also have better control over what you are typing in before you try once again with your TV.
