The most common reason why an air fryer is not turning on is that it is not plugged in properly. Make sure that the plug is firmly seated into the receptacle and if necessary, test the receptacle by plugging in another appliance. In most cases, this will get you back up and running quickly.

Typically, an air fryer won’t heat when you don’t have things set up properly. This includes having the lid or door closed securely as well as the basket inserted properly. If your air fryer isn’t heating, remove the basket and try reinserting it again, making sure that the door closes completely. Otherwise, it could be a power problem.
