Bosch is a German company that has been specializing in luxury dryers since 1956. Bosch dryers are well known for their reliability and durability. When your Bosch dryer stops working, it is indeed a disturbing occurrence that can disrupt your entire daily routine. If you troubleshoot this problem without delay, you can determine what is causing this annoying problem so you can quickly resolve the issue and can swiftly dry your clothes normally again.

If your Bosch Dryer is not working, check the drive motor of your Bosch Dryer to see if i  is causing the dryer not to turn on. Use a Multimeter set on Rx1 to test for voltage consistency of the terminals. Then, check the base metal of the motor. Both readings should be at 0 Ohms.

If the terminals do not have a reading of 0 Ohms, you will need to replace the motor.  You can also test the Terminal Block. The Terminal Block connects internal wires to the power cord and often overheats. This problem can be signaled by a burning smell. Finally, you may need to replace the Control Board.

Finding that your Bosch Dryer is not drying can upset your entire schedule. Instantaneous troubleshooting can result in a quick solution to the problem. Check to see if the lint filter might be clogged and if this is indeed causing your Bosch Dryer not to turn on.

If your Bosch Dryer is not working and is not turning on, it could be due to a clogged lint filter. Disconnect the vent and then vacuum it out. Clean the vent tube and then reconnect the vent tubing. Also, be sure to check the outside vent for any clogs and then see if the dryer will turn on normally again.

If this does not solve the problem, the issue could be caused by a faulty heater which is responsible for heating up the air inside the dryer.

If your Bosch Dryer keeps stopping, try some easy steps to see if the problem is a simple one that can be easily remedied.  Look over common parts of your GE Dryer where something may have become loosened or may need resetting. Hopefully, this is all you will need to do to be able to get your GE Dryer working again and your family’s washed clothes dried.

If your Bosch Dryer is not working and keeps stopping, check the moisture sensor to make sure it is clean. The moisture sensor determines if the clothes inside the dryer are wet. See if there is any type of layer of residue that is coating the moisture sensor.

In order to clean the sensor, which is located in the area of the door, open the door to the appliance and clean off the area around the moisture sensor with a sponge.

Also, be sure to clean out the fluff filter. To do so, open the dryer door and find the fluff filter. Pull the filter out and wipe it out with a cloth. Dry the filter off with a paper towel and then replace it.

Now try and inspect the door. See if the door switch is bent or damaged and out of position. Inspect the timer knob and then remove it to check for any damage. It should normally have some degree of resistance when you turn it.

Check the thermal fuse with a multimeter to see if it shows a level of 0 ohms. if the thermal fuse is blown it usually signifies a problem with the dryer’s vent. If the vent is obstructed by either debris or a blockage, airflow will be restricted and the Bosch Dryer will start to overheat.

If your Bosch Dryer is not spinning, you can try several simple troubleshooting steps to analyze the cause of the problem. If conducting each of these steps does not resolve the issue, you may need to consult with a certified GE Dryer Certified Technician.

If your Bosch Dryer is not working and is not spinning, test the drive belt. If the drive belt is broken, the dryer will turn on but will not spin the drum. Try to turn the dryer drum by hand. if you can spin it easily it is most likely broken and will need to be replaced.

The dryer drive belt is a thin rubber belt that goes around the dryer drum and is pulled by the motor via 2 pulleys.

In addition, another problem could emanate from defective or worn out drum rollers, which are rubber coated wheels that assist the dryer drum in spinning. If they have worn out, this can also affect the spinning of the dryer drum. You can replace them easily without much difficulty and can then check the drum for ease of spinning.
