ESPN AirPlay Not Working

AirPlay is a useful tool to use your different streaming Apps on multiple devices that you own. The first step is to ensure that the device you are using is AirPlay compatible, otherwise, your device will not be able to properly play the service that you are attempting to use. If it is compatible, there are a few issues that could be behind your AirPlay not working.

If your ESPN AirPlay is not working, you need to first make sure that the devices that you are using are within connection distance from each other. Think of it like a remote. You need a line of connection for your LG Smart TV to pick up your ESPN AirPlay.

If your devices are close to each other, you may experience a network connection issue. It is a good idea to reset your WiFi router. Unplug your router from all power sources and leave it unplugged for at least 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug it back into your power source. It will take a minute for your WiFi signal to reboot.

Once your WiFi is back online, try and use your ESPN AirPlay again. If it still isn’t working, it may be an indication that you need to update your ESPN App. While some people avoid updating their Apps for as long as possible, updates are necessary to keep your app functioning properly.

You may also be looking at an overall outage on the ESPN App. Like with all streaming apps, you can run into outages if there are too many people watching at the same time. To check this you can visit ESPN’s website.
