To reset your setup box, you will need to unplug the receiver first. Leave it unplugged for approximately 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. After you’ve plugged the receiver back in, it will be time for you to press the reset button on the receiver.
If the Dish remote will not control or change the TV volume, check the cable connections. A loose cable connection will disrupt the communication between the receiver and the TV. Also, make sure the cables are connected to the right ports of any other electronic devices.
As a general rule, if your DISH TV does not connect to the internet, check the cables on both your TV and receiver. The cable that affects the internet connection is the LNB cable. Make sure that it is connected at both ends. It should connect to your DISH receiver through the ‘sat in’ port.
