You can usually get the pegs off by gently using a Claw Hammer or by using a Punch. Now, go ahead and clean the wheels off. You will usually need to cut off all of the embedded hair strands and remove all of the hair that is stuck in the pin.

Try using a very small needle nose pliers to clean the four small wheels that are in each corner. These wheels are usually the hardest ones to clean.  It is often exceedingly difficult to clean the wheels that are in the center area.

You can use the same needle nose pliers to pry up one end of the wheel axle so that you can pull it easily out of the wheel.

In addition, you can use a flat head screwdriver under the pin that you can see in the area between the wheel and the main plastic area, to pry the wheel off.

After you clean the wheels significantly, you will need to replace them carefully by using the flathead screwdriver. Take it and apply low pressure but steady downward force on the pins so that they snap into place easily.

Do not exert excessive pressure as you may inadvertently snap the pins in half.
