This is where a reset can come in handy. Resetting the smart doorbell can help clear out the glitch and get the doorbell working as intended.  

Most smart doorbells can be reset by simply pressing the reset button for a certain amount of time. Although some brands require a few extra steps before and after the reset process. This, however, will vary from one smart doorbell brand to another.

You should also keep in mind that, in most cases, resetting the doorbell will put the device back into its factory settings. This means that any changes or customizations you have made to the doorbell will be lost. Reset smart doorbells typically require the device to be removed from the doorbell app. 

How To Reset Logitech Doorbell

If you’re experiencing issues with your Logitech doorbell, a reset may be just what you need. Resetting your Logitech smart doorbell isn’t a difficult process and can be completed in only a matter of minutes. 

To reset a Logitech doorbell, press the button located on the right side of the doorbell and hold it down until the circle flashes purple and then green.

Once the doorbell has been reset, you may need to re-pair the device back to your network. This usually requires adding the device back to your Logitech app, if it was removed during the restarting process, and then pairing the doorbell to your network.

How to Reset ADT Doorbell

That doesn’t mean, however, that the doorbell won’t ever experience an issue. If your ADT doorbell isn’t connecting properly or not chiming as it should, you may need to reset the device. 

Reset a wired ADT doorbell by holding down the reset button located on the back of the doorbell camera. Keep the button held down for about 15 seconds.

Keep in mind, however, that resetting your ADT doorbell does restore it to factory settings. Factory settings is how the device came to you when you purchased it. This may require you to reconfigure the device if you have altered any of the settings. 

How To Reset Eufy Doorbell

Before you rush out to purchase a new smart doorbell, try resetting the Eufy doorbell.

You can reset your Eufy doorbell by pressing and holding the Sync button found on the rear side of the battery-operated doorbell. Keep the button pressed down for about 10 seconds.

For doorbells that are currently installed on the wall, you can reset it by using a paper clip to detach the Eufy doorbell from its mounting bracket. Once removed, you can access the Sync button to reset the doorbell.

How To Reset Wyze Doorbell

To reset a Wyze doorbell, find the button located on the side of the doorbell. Hold the button for 5 seconds. It will say “Reset Successfully.” At this time, release the button once you hear the confirmation.

The LED light on the Wyze doorbell will flash red before flashing a solid yellow, and finally a flashing yellow. This means the doorbell has been reset.

How To Reset Honeywell Doorbell

When the doorbell stops functioning as it is designed to, however, it can quickly make you feel unsafe and frazzled. The good news is that a lot of the problems that Honeywell doorbells experience can be corrected with a reset. 

To reset the battery-powered Honeywell doorbells, you must first remove one of the batteries. While holding the settings button down, place the battery back in place and then re-link the doorbell to the Honeywell app and your network.

For Honeywell doorbells that are plugged into an outlet, you will need to unplug the doorbell for about 15 to 30 seconds before plugging it back in while holding down the settings button. Once the doorbell is turned backed on, relink the doorbell to your network.

How To Reset Netatmo Doorbell

This is a useful feature for whether you are home or away. Even though it is a reliable device, things do happen and the doorbell can experience issues. Don’t fret, however, if your Netatmo doorbell has a problem. Instead, perform a reset on the device.

To reset the Netatmo doorbell, you will first need to remove the doorbell from its wall mounting plate. Once removed, plug a Micro USB cable into the back of the doorbell. The LED light will either turn a solid blue or turn off completely.

Once the LED has turned white, unplug the doorbell from the Micro USB cable and then reattach it to the wall mounting plate. Then remove the Netatmo doorbell from the Home + Security app. Once it has been removed, relink the device back to the app.

How To Reset Skybell Doorbell

When a Skybell doorbell is acting weird and not working as it usually does, the device may need to be reset. Resetting a smart doorbell helps clear and refresh the device, which usually helps correct common problems it may be experiencing. But how do you reset a Skybell doorbell?

To reset your Skybell doorbell, press the Skybell button and hold it down for about 1 minute. You should see the LED light rapidly flash green before flashing between red and green. It should then rapidly flash blue before flashing yellow.

This means that the Skybell doorbell is undergoing the resetting process. It takes about one minute for the factory reset to complete. While the doorbell is resetting, remove the device from the Skybell app. When the reset process is complete, the doorbell’s LED light will flash red and green. At this time, the device can be added back to the Skybell app and you can sync it to your network.

How To Reset UniFi Doorbell

Problems connecting to the network, not chiming when someone presses the button, and app loading issues can sometimes be corrected by resetting the UniFi doorbell. 

To reset the UniFi doorbell, you will first need to forget the device in the UniFi app. Then hold down the white rubber button located on the back of the doorbell. Keep the button held down for 15 to 20 seconds.

This will reset the UniFi doorbell back to factory settings. Once reset, you can add the doorbell back to the UniFi app and start the installation process.

How To Reset Geeni Doorbell

While smart doorbells are fairly reliable, they can experience issues every now and again. If your Geeni doorbell is currently having issues, a reset may be just what it needs. Keep in mind, that a reset isn’t a cure all and may not fix the problem your device is having. It is, however, worth a shot to try to fix the glitches your Geeni doorbell is currently having. 

To reset the Geeni doorbell, you will need to first insert the reset pin or a paperclip into the reset button. You can find the reset button under the doorbell button. Make sure to hold the reset button down for about 5 seconds.

After the 5 seconds have passed, release the reset button. The Geeni doorbell is now reset and ready to connect to your network. How To Reset Alarm.com Doorbell

If your Alarm.com doorbell is experiencing any problems, you should consider performing a reset. Resetting the smart doorbell usually clears up most problems the device may be having. What’s even better is that the entire process takes only a few minutes and can be completed even if you don’t consider yourself technologically literate.

Before beginning the Alarm.com doorbell reset process, you will need to remove the doorbell from either the app or your account on Alarm.com. Once it has been removed, hold down the reset button on the doorbell for about 10 seconds.

How To Reset Kangaroo Doorbell

Resetting the device helps to clear out any glitches that may cause the device to freeze up. It can also help refresh the doorbell and get it working properly once again.

To reset the Kangaroo doorbell, you will need to press and hold down the black reset button for about 20 seconds. This reset button is located on the side of the doorbell and will require a reset pin or paperclip in order to reach the button.

Holding down the button will reset the doorbell, as well as reset its sensor, and remove it from your account. After holding the button down for 20 seconds, the LED light on the front of the doorbell will start to flash. This means it is currently in Pairing Mode and can be connected back to your account and network.

How To Reset Telus Doorbell

If your Telus doorbell is having issues connecting to your network or you just want to start fresh with a new install, reset the device. Resetting Telus doorbells isn’t a difficult process and takes a few minutes.

To reset your Telus doorbell, simply press and hold down the Skybell button that is located at the front of the doorbell. When the light starts to flash blue, you can release the button. The Telus doorbell has now been reset. This entire process takes about 1 minute.

Once the Telus doorbell has been reset, you can sync the device back to your account and reconnect it to your internet network.

How To Reset Byron Doorbell

Before you can reset the Byron doorbell, you will first need to remove the battery for around 10 minutes. With the battery removed, press the push button a few times. This will remove any residual voltage left inside the doorbell. Put the battery back into place to begin the reset process.

Thankfully, you can usually correct these problems by simply resetting the doorbell. 

Reset the Night Owl doorbell by pressing and holding down the reset button for about 5 seconds. This will factory reset the doorbell, while also disconnecting the device from the Night Owl Connect app. Once the doorbell has been reset, it will automatically go into pairing mode.

The reset button is located on the right side of the doorbell. You will need to remove the doorbell’s faceplate to access the sides of the device.
