Running into issues with your Emerson Thermostat can be downright frustrating. You can reset your Emerson Thermostat password in a couple of different ways. On both your iOS and Android devices, you can do so through the app. If you aren’t already logged out, do so. Then beneath the login credentials, you will see an area marked ‘Trouble Logging In’. Select this option and you will be prompted to enter your email on file.

A link to reset your password will be sent to the email address that you provided. This can also be done through the Emerson Thermostat Sensi website. Visit the website and find the option in the top right that is marked ‘Sign In’. Select this and then below your login credentials choose the option ‘Trouble Logging In’. You will receive a link to the email that is on file once entered. 

How to Reset Emerson Thermostat After Replacing Batteries

Your Emerson Thermostat will let you know when it is time to replace the batteries. As your thermostat is something that is constantly running, you can burn through batteries quicker than you might have expected. If your Emerson Thermostat screen is blank, or if your WiFi connection is blank, it is time to replace the batteries.

To reset your Emerson Thermostat, first replace the batteries by removing the faceplate. Once this has been removed, you can locate the batteries on the backside of it. Before changing the batteries, wait until the screen goes blank. Replace the batteries and the faceplate. Your Emerson Thermostat will automatically restart in a few seconds.

Running a factory reset on your Emerson Thermostat will restore your thermostat back to the condition that it came in when you first purchased it. Keep in mind that this will erase all of your current settings and you will need to set up your Emerson Thermostat system again. 

To reset your Emerson Thermostat to factory settings, first press ‘Menu’, then find the section labeled ‘About Thermostat’ and select that. Once on that menu, you will see ‘Factory Reset’, press that and confirm. 

Your Emerson Thermostat will automatically restart.

Once it has restarted, it will be in its original factory settings. You will have to go through the steps that you did during your initial setup to connect your Emerson Thermostat to WiFi, your paired devices, and set your desired temperature settings.

How to Reset Emerson Thermostat WiFi

If you are facing issues with your internet router, need to make changes, or if you would like to connect your Emerson Thermostat to a different WiFi network, you’ll need to access the system settings to make changes. You can reset your Emerson Thermostat WiFi for either an iOS device or an Android.

If you need to reset your Emerson Thermostat WiFi network for iOS, first press ‘Menu’ on your Emerson Thermostat screen, then search until you see ‘Connect’. This will bring a few different numbered options on the display. It will be either 00, 11, or 22. If the display shows 11 or 22, using your iOS device enter ‘WiFi Settings’. Check to see that your device is connected to a 2.4GH network.

If it is a 5GHz network, click ‘Forget this network’. Find where it says “Set Up New Device” in the settings menu. With the available options, you will see your Emerson Thermostat with the model number. Select this and setup will automatically begin. Once it connects, click ‘Done’ to save the settings.

If the display shows 00, open your Emerson Thermostat app on your iOS device and press ‘+’, when prompted. When ‘Yes, it is on the wall’. On your Emerson Thermostat screen, press ‘Menu’ and ‘Connect’, you will know it is working when the WiFi icon begins to flash. On your iOS device, enter your WiFi settings and join the network that matches your Emerson Thermostat.

You will be prompted for a password. This is the security code that came with your thermostat. You can find this on the back of your thermostat’s faceplate. Once connected, return to your app and connect your Emerson Thermostat to your desired WiFi network.

If you are using an Android device to reset your Emerson Thermostat, open your app and tap the ‘+’ sign. When prompted to select ‘Yes it is on the wall’, on your Emerson Thermostat screen press ‘Menu’ and ‘Connect’, you should see the WiFi logo start to flash. Back on your app select the coordinating WiFi network to your Emmerson Thermostat. 

Hit ‘Next’ and enter your security code, which can be found on the back of the thermostat’s faceplate. Hit ‘Next’, you will then be prompted to connect to your desired WiFi network, select that and connect.
