AOC Monitor Screen Issues (How to Troubleshoot)

No matter if you are working from home or a serious gamer, having an AOC monitor will give you a great picture. AOC has been a reliable monitor now for several years and can work with any computer. But what if your AOC monitor has issues?

AOC monitor screen issues can happen to anyone. To troubleshoot, check the power cable and the power source. Then check any other cable that is plugged directly into the monitor. Also, check other settings such as resolution and aspect ratio settings including the brightness and contrast settings.

One great advantage of owning an AOC monitor is that they can work with any computer as long as you have a VGA cable. They are a standard monitor that is reliable and if you do run into any issues, most can be taken care of yourself. With just a little troubleshooting, a person can usually correct issues by checking the power cables, unplugging and plugging them back in.

If you notice an issue with the VGA cable, most likely one or more of the pins are not straight and making good contact. If this is the case, you can use a screwdriver or some other tool to straighten them out again. Checking the brightness and contrast settings can also correct some viewing issues, if the setting is turned down it may appear as if the monitor is not working.

If you notice something isn’t right with your AOC monitor such as the text disappearing as you are reading, then there may have been a shift on your monitor. Having your screen off-center can happen without realizing it, but it can be corrected easily with a click of a few buttons.

If your AOC monitor screen is off-center, first navigate to the Display Settings, and choose to adjust desktop size and position. Select the position tab on the right side of the screen and click the left arrow. Continue clicking the arrow until your screen is properly displayed and centered.

There are times when your screen shifts because of an outdated driver that needs to be updated. To do so, download the latest update for your graphics card and install it. Your display may just need to be readjusted, to perform this right-click on your desktop, choose Graphic Options, then Panel Fit, and select Center Image.

If your AOC monitor is off-center you also may try changing the refresh rate. To do so, open Display Settings, click Advanced Display Settings and then Display Adaptor Properties for Display 1. Next, go to the Monitor tab and select Screen Refresh Rate to your target setting, click Apply, and then OK to save your changes.

AOC Monitor Screen Tearing

When it comes to Frames Per Second, sometimes more isn’t better. When you have too many this can cause what is known as screen tearing. There are multiple ways to correct this depending on what your monitor supports and what graphics card you are using.

An AOC monitor screen tear is caused by an incorrect resolution or the refresh rate of your monitor screen. To correct this, change the refresh rate and resolution, enable Nvidia sync or click and choose the Wait For Vertical Refresh. You may also try disabling Game Mode.

Other options to fix screen tearing include checking the Full-Screen Optimization. To do so, right- click on an icon that is showing tearing issues and choose Properties. Next, go to the Compatibility tab and disable full-screen optimization and then click the OK button. When this has all been completed you will want to restart your computer.

Another issue if you experience screen tearing is to check the frame limit. To disable the frame limit, go to the video and graphics option and open the game menu. Then turn off the frame limit option. If this fixes the issue you may choose to turn this feature back on.

There is nothing worse than having a computer monitor going out on you or displaying those annoying lines. Many times when people see lines they think the monitor is ruined, but that isn’t always the case. It is possible this can be fixed by the user.

If you are experiencing lines on your monitor screen, try checking the cable connections or try different cables. You should also update your graphics card and restart your computer. Try the monitor on another computer and if you still notice the lines, then the monitor may need to be replaced.

If your monitor is experiencing horizontal lines, this can be caused by a few different things. It may be due to overheating of your monitor or some other physical damage to the monitor. A cable, such as an HDMI cable may need to be replaced or you may have an outdated graphics card or operating system.

If your AOC monitor is not fitting the screen, open the Start menu and select Settings then go to Display. Go to Scale and Resolution settings and adjust it until the screen display looks acceptable. For most cases, choosing Recommended is the best option.

To fix your computer screen size issues on Windows 10, right-click on the desktop and choose Display Settings. Go to Advanced Settings and select the Resolution drop-down. Choose the desired resolution, click Apply and then Keep Changes.

When using your monitor for gaming, having the screen size correct is key just as the color. To help with this; adjusting the resolution is equally important. To do so go to the Control Panel, select Appearance and Personalization, click Adjust Screen Resolution and then move the slider to the desired level.

If your AOC monitor is too blue, right-click on the desktop and open Display settings. Click on the Night Light option and click on Night Light settings. Using the toggle, slide to reduce the level of blue light to your preference.

Another issue with too much blue on your screen can be attributed to the GPU settings. The GPU software can be used to adjust the color settings on your monitor.
