Bluetooth

You can connect Samsung TV to a Bose soundbar a variety of ways. For the best audio quality, the preferred method is using an HDMI or HDMI Arc cable connection. You can also use an optical cable or, for older Bose surround systems, you can use a basic auxiliary cable.

The two preferred methods of connecting the Bose soundbar to your Samsung TV is either using Bluetooth or an HDMI cable.

Bluetooth

Using a Bluetooth connection for the Samsung TV and Bose soundbar is a great option for not only avoiding cables and wires, but also pairing other devices like your smartphone or other music streaming devices.

You will not have the same high quality sound as you would with an HDMI connection, but you can enjoy movies and listening to music.

How To Connect Samsung TV To Sonos Soundbar

Sonos is the more affordable option of soundbar but that doesn’t mean the sound is a lesser quality. Sonos soundbars produce high-quality, crisp sound that rivals its more expensive competitors.

With a Sonos soundbar, you can connect to your smartphone, even your computer, which means you can enjoy great audio while gaming or simply listening to music. One downside to the Sono soundbar, though, is that it does not support Bluetooth.

Currently, the only ways to connect the Sonos soundbar, also known as Playbar, to your Samsung TV is with either and HDMI or Optical cable.

HDMI

Connecting the soundbar via HDMI is simple. Before starting, you will need to download the Sonos app to complete the setup.

Step 1: Take one end of the HDMI cable and connect it to the back of the TV using the port labled HDMI Arc/eArc.

Step 2: Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the soundbar.

Step 3: Make sure the HDMI CEC setting on the Samsung TV is turned on – for example, Samsung (Anynet+).

Step 4: Open the Sonos app on your smart device and follow the in-app instructions to complete the setup.

Optical Cable

Your Sonos soundbar will come with an Optical cable. The steps outlined here will walk you through connecting the soundbar to your Samsung TV. Before you begin, take a few minutes to download the Sonos app on your smartphone.
