How to Reset Samsung Microwave

Samsung microwaves are usually extremely reliable but can sometimes freeze up, causing a disruption in your normal family cooking routine. If this happens, you can take several easy steps to reset it.

If you want to know how to reset your Samsung Microwave, first, try to reset the control panel. Use a damp cloth to clean the control panel of any dirt or grime and then try using it again. Check to see if the control lock is enabled and if this is the case, disable it.

Then, unplug the microwave for one minute, and then try to use it again.

If this does not work, try turning the microwave off and leave it unplugged for 3 to 5 minutes. Now, try using your Samsung Microwave normally again and see if this works.

At this point, you can go ahead and reset the microwave clock by keying in either AM or PM.

You can also go ahead and make sure that your Samsung Microwave is not in the Demo mode. If it is in this mode, you will be able to utilize all the functions, but the microwave will not heat food at all.

Go ahead and turn the Demo mode off now. Go to either Options or My Settings and press option 6 in the Menu.

Now, set the option menu to 2 and then this will turn the Demo mode off.

Now, also try to turn off the Kitchen Timer Option in case it is turned on by accident instead of being in a normal cooking cycle.

Also, check the door of the microwave to make sure that it is closing completely.

If the door is not closing fully, the microwave may continue to run but it will not heat food up completely.

Go ahead at this point and use a damp cloth to wipe off both the door and the microwave frame.

If there is any residual dirt or grime that is not cleaned off, it could keep the microwave door from closing properly.

Another possible cause of the need to reset your Samsung Microwave is that there is not sufficient clearance on the left and right sides and on the tip of the microwave and below it for the microwave to be able to vent normally.

If you want to know how to reset your Samsung Microwave SE Error, first unplug the microwave from the power source. Then, if you see the Error Code due to moisture on the electronic components of the microwave, let the microwave dry out.

If this does not solve the problem, wait another several minutes before proceeding on to the next troubleshooting steps. Then turn the microwave back on and try to use it again.
