If your login is not working on Netflix, you should always double-check you are using the correct login details. It is easy to accidently type in your Apple ID instead of you Netflix credentials. Also keep in mind that the password is case sensitive.

However, this may also point to a software or network issue. You can try the troubleshooting methods mentioned above to reset the software and network. This includes re-installing the Netflix app.

Netflix will likely keep stopping if there are connectivity issues. First, make sure your Apple TV is not located within a cabinet as this can block the Wi-Fi signal.

Secondly, check your internet download speed. Anything less than 3Mbps will have issues with streaming on Netflix. If you find that your wireless internet is not fast enough, try connecting an Ethernet cable instead. This will deliver the fastest network speed available to your Apple TV.

You can no longer use Apple Airplay with the Netflix app. This feature was removed in 2019. It is speculated that this is because Apple announced the development of their own media streaming service, conflicting with Netflix.

However, this does not mean you cannot project your Netflix app onto the Apple TV. If you have an Apple iPhone or iPad, you can still use the ‘Screen Mirroring’ function.

To do this, swipe to open the Apple control screen. For example, this is opened by swiping across the screen from the top right corner of the iPhone. Then you should see an icon named ‘Screen Mirroring’.

Provided you are connected to the same network as your Apple TV and the Apple TV is switched on, you should able to see it in the Screen Mirroring list. Once you select you Apple TV, your screen will be projected onto the Apple TV.

Some people have experienced a message on their Apple TV that reads ‘Netflix is Currently Unavailable’. This is usually a connection issue. More often than not, this can be fixed using the troubleshooting methods at beginning of this article.

If you still encounter this message after trying all the troubleshooting methods, it may be an issue with the Netflix servers. Sometimes servers go down for no reason and sometimes they are undergoing maintenance (which you should have been notified about).

If this is the case, you will need to wait for the servers to be up and running again. You can call Netflix support to confirm this if you are unsure.
