Can I Put Peacock App On My Samsung TV?

The Peacock App allows subscribers access to hundreds of popular movies, TV shows, and NBC hits while also giving you the ability to view live news and late night shows. If you have a Samsung TV and are thinking about subscribing to this app, can you put it on your TV?

If you can’t find the Peacock app on your Samsung TV, it could be due to several reasons. The app may not be compatible with your Samsung TV model, as it is only compatible with models released in 2017 and beyond.

Through the simple purchase of a device like an Amazon Fire Stick or a Roku device, you can connect them to your Samsung TV, download the Peacock app to them, and still have all of its features on your TV through the help of a small workaround.

Luckily for you, even if you have a Samsung TV, you don’t have to get rid of Peacock, as there are ways you can put this app right on your TV through the use of another streaming device and if you have a newer Samsung TV, the process couldn’t be any simpler.

To put Peacock on a Samsung TV that is a 2017 model or newer, create your Peacock account online and then, from the Home screen of your TV, navigate to ‘Apps’ > ‘Search’ > search for ‘Peacock’ > then click ‘Install’ which should install and then download the application.

If you have an older Samsung TV, you will need to download the Peacock app through the use of a secondary media player such as an Amazon Fire Stick or a Roku device. Within these devices, simply search for the “Peacock’ app to download within their media and allow the installation and download process to take place. Once it has completed, you should be able to access Peacock from your Samsung TV through these types of devices.

If you have made it through the endless comparisons, finding the content that is most important to you, landed on the perfect provider, and finally downloaded the Peacock app to your Samsung TV, it is likely that you have sat back and are ready to enjoy yourself. However, if you have, at last, put this process behind you and go to open the app for use, what do you do when you notice it is not working?

If Peacock on your Samsung TV is not working, try cold booting your TV to see if this resolves the issue. To do this, press down and hold the power button on the remote control of your Samsung TV until the TV has turned completely off and back on again on its own.

If this does not cause the Peacock app to start working as it should, check to see if your TV is in need of any updates. To do this, go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Support’ > ‘Software Update’ and then select ‘Update Now.’ If there is an update available, it will automatically begin to install and your TV will reboot.

If Peacock on your Samsung TV is not showing up, is not available, or cannot be found, you may need to manually search for the app to access it. To do this, hit the ‘Search’ button on your remote and search for the ‘Peacock’ app and select it once you have found it.

If you search for the app and notice that it is not showing as a downloaded application, you will then need to select the app and download it once again. Be sure to follow the process for downloading and installing and allow the app to completely install before moving on to use any other apps or turn off your TV. If you have trouble installing the application, be sure that your internet connection is fast enough to support the download.
