Element TV Remote Not Working

When you go to use your remote and find that it is not working, there can be several issues behind it. This is no reason to fret though, many issues that your Element TV remote can face are easy to fix on your own.

If your Element TV remote is not working, it may be due to dead batteries. Replace the old batteries with new ones, ensuring they are inserted according to the correct polarity. After replacing the batteries, check if the remote control resumes normal operation by attempting to turn on the TV or change channels.

Another common issue could be signal obstruction. Remotes work by sending an infrared (IR) signal to the TV, which can be blocked by obstacles. Ensure there are no objects between the remote and the TV’s IR receiver, which is typically located on the front panel. Clean the remote’s emitter and the receiver’s sensor to remove any dust or grime that could interfere with the signal.

If your Element TV remote is not working, it could either be an issue with your remote or your receiver. There are a few steps to take to determine which one is being affected. If you have replaced the batteries in your Element remote, you need to ensure that your remote is connected to your receiver.

There are a few methods to take to address this issue. One is to run a Power Cycle. Turn off your Roku reviewer and TV. After doing that, unplug all devices from your TV, including their connections to the power source. Leave everything unplugged for five minutes.

After reconnecting all the cables, restart your receiver and your TV. Check to see if your Element TV remote is now working.

If, after you have run a Power Cycle and your Element TV remote is still not working, it may be an issue directly with your remote. To make sure that it is still working, check that the IR emitter is working. Shine a light at the emitter, found at the top of your remote, and press the power button.

If there is no light, you may need to replace your Element TV remote.

Element TV Remote Keeps Disconnecting

If your Element remote keeps disconnecting, there can be an interruption in either the signal or the cables. Try making sure that everything is connected and that there are no loose cables. Secondly, ensure that you are in the correct range and there is nothing blocking your line of connection.

If your Element TV remote keeps disconnecting, as a general rule, you should reset your Element TV remote. First, remove the batteries from your Element remote. You then want to turn off and unplug your receiver, leave it unplugged for ten seconds before restarting it.

Once the ten seconds are up, plug your receiver back in and restart it. Wait to put the batteries back into the element remote until your receiver has fully restarted.

Another common issue that can cause your Element remote to continually disconnect is if you are experiencing HDMI interference. This happens because your receiver is plugged directly into your HDMI port, which can cause interruption. To eliminate this issue, getting an HDMI extender can help.

Element TV Remote Not Responding

You’ve already checked the batteries and still your Element remote is not responding. When this happens, your TV and receiver are both on, but your Element remote will not respond to any commands. There are a few fixes to solve this problem.

If your Element TV remote is not responding, the first step you should take is simple. On your Element remote, press and hold down the home button. Hold the button for around ten seconds, your Element remote should connect itself. This is an easy way to reconnect it.

If your Element remote still is not responding, it’s time to perform a reset. Remove the batteries from your Element remote and hold down the power button for around 25 seconds. After 25 seconds, re-insert new batteries into your Element remote and test to see if it is working.

If that still doesn’t get your Element remote working, run a Power Cycle. Turn off your Roku reviewer and TV. After doing that, unplug all devices from your TV, including their connections to the power source. Leave everything unplugged for five minutes. Replug in everything and restart both.

If your Element remote is still not responding, make sure that it is connected, by accessing your system settings.

Element TV Remote Volume Not Working

If your Element remote is working and you can change channels and power off and on your TV and receiver, but you’re not able to adjust the volume, this can be frustrating. First check to make sure that the volume can still be controlled on your TV if you have an additional remote.

First reset your Element remote, remove the batteries from your Element TV remote and remove your receiver. Wait ten seconds before restarting your receiver. After your receiver is fully restarted and displayed on the home screen, put the batteries back into your remote and check to see if it is working.

If you are still facing, make sure that your Element remote is set to be in TV mode. The reason why this can affect the usage of your remote for your TV is because Element remotes are designed to be compatible with other devices. If your remote is not on the TV setting, you will be unable to control the volume.

The issue could also relate to your remote itself. Remotes, like most electronics, get unintentional crumbs or particles stuck in them over time. Check to see that there is no resistance when you push down on the volume button. If there is, you may need to use compressed air to clean out the offending buttons.

You can run into the issue where your Element TV remote is not connecting or pairing to your device. Sticking with the general rule of thumb, first replace the batteries. If that does nothing to solve the issue, it is most likely a problem with connectivity.

If you have not done so yet, remove and reinsert or replace the batteries on your remote. Once the batteries are back in, press and hold the home button on your remote for 10 seconds. This allows for your television to begin searching for your remote.

Your remote can work perfectly in all other ways, but you can occasionally get stuck on one channel. If you are unable to change channels by using the channel +/- button, you should first try to see if you can manually enter a channel number by typing it in on your Element remote.

A good first step to take is to check that you have all the channels available. Click Menu on your remote and scroll through until you find the TV Guide Main Menu. Find the area marked Setup and select that. Once in here, you need to look for the section marked No Auto-Tune.

Use the left arrow to turn this function off. Exit the menu and attempt to change the channels.

If your Element remote still won’t change channels, run a Power Cycle. Turn off your Roku reviewer and TV. After doing that, unplug all devices from your TV. Leave everything unplugged for five minutes. Replug in everything and restart both.
