Hisense Remote Not Working

If your Hisense remote is not working, it can be difficult to operate the TV. There are some ways to fix it, including some that work very quickly.

The top way to fix a Hisense remote is to reset it. The manufacturer recommends removing the batteries from the remote and pressing the power button, holding it in for 30 seconds while the remote discharges. The LED will blink twice when you reinstall the battery. Push down the 2 and 8 keys and the LED will flash twice again. Enter 9 8 1 and the LED will flash four times.

This process will do a complete factory reset of the remote control. It is one of the easiest ways to get it back up and running as quickly as possible.

To reset a Hisense remote, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the batteries from the remote.
  2. Press and hold any button on the remote for 20 seconds.
  3. Release the button and reinsert the batteries.
  4. Press any button on the remote to ensure it is working.

If this method does not work, try replacing the batteries with new ones. If the remote still does not work, you may need to contact Hisense customer support for further assistance.

There may also be other ways to fix the remote and to correct any issues you may be experiencing. Look down through the list below and you may find some that work well for you.

Hisense Remote Not Working

If your Hisense remote is not working, there could be several reasons why. Some common causes include dead batteries, a faulty remote sensor, or a malfunctioning remote control. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Replace the batteries: Make sure the batteries in the remote are fresh and fully charged. Try replacing them with new ones.
  2. Check the sensor: Ensure that the remote sensor on the TV is not blocked or obstructed. Clean the sensor if necessary.
  3. Reset the remote: Remove the batteries from the remote and press and hold any button on the remote for 20 seconds. Release the button and reinsert the batteries.
  4. Re-pair the remote: If your Hisense TV has a Bluetooth remote, try re-pairing it with the TV. This can be done through the TV’s settings menu.
  5. Contact support: If none of these solutions work, you may need to contact Hisense customer support or a professional repair service for further assistance.

By following these tips, you can troubleshoot common issues with your Hisense remote and potentially avoid the need for costly repairs or replacements.

Batteries – One of the biggest issues associated with a Hisense remote control is a problem with the batteries. Installing new batteries will often correct the issue, even if the battery seems to be fairly new.

One of the problems is that we sometimes mix and match batteries in our remote controls. It’s important to use the same high-quality batteries in the remote rather than simply replacing one and leaving the others in place.

It is also important to make sure that the batteries are inserted properly. They need to be inserted in one particular direction and if they are not, the remote control will not work.

One of the easiest ways to test the batteries in the remote is to move across the room and try to operate the remote from a long distance. If the operation of the remote gets sluggish as you get further away from the TV, it is likely that the batteries need to be replaced.

Try a Universal – Although it is beneficial to use the Hisense remote that came with the TV, you may also find some benefits to using a universal remote. Some universal remotes are relatively inexpensive and offer nice features.

A universal remote is often considered when we have multiple devices, including a DVD player, cable box, soundbar, and our Hisense TV. You might also find it beneficial to use a universal remote, even if it is only for the operation of the TV.

Reset the TV – At times, the problem is not with the Hisense remote but rather, is with the TV. You can reset the TV to flush the memory cache and to get things working smoothly again.

In order to reset the TV properly, start with it in the on position. You can then unplug the TV from the wall, wait up to 10 minutes, and plug it back in again. After refreshing the memory cache, you may find that the remote starts working again.

Check for Obstructions – One other thing to consider is the possibility that there are obstructions between the remote control and the TV. When the batteries are strong, you will often be able to work around those obstructions but as the batteries get weaker, they will become problematic.

Anything between the remote control and the TV can block the signal. You might also find that something placed in front of the sensor on the TV itself is to blame.

Hisense Remote Not Turning On Tv

Is your Hisense remote no longer turning on the TV? The fix to this problem may be easier than you realize.

The top two reasons why a Hisense remote is no longer turning on the TV are because the batteries have died or because there is something obstructing the signal. Change the batteries using high quality, new batteries and after doing so, move close to the TV so you can check the signal unimpeded.

All too often, battery problems are to blame for a Hisense remote not working. Perhaps we have let the batteries drain to the point where they are not sending a strong signal.

You might also want to simply open the battery compartment and make sure that someone in your home did not remove the batteries to use in another remote. It’s a common problem, but one we often overlook.

Anything between the remote control and the TV will act as an obstacle and block the signal from the remote. This is especially a problem if there is something placed at the TV and is directly blocking the receiver for the remote.

Finally, try a hard reset of the TV to clear the memory cache and to help the TV recognize the remote again. Here’s how to do it:

1. Start with the TV turned on

2. Unplug the TV

3. Wait 10 minutes

4. Plug the TV into the wall

5. Push the power button on the TV to start it.

This is something that can be done periodically to flush the memory and to get the TV working smoothly. It may also help if the remote is not responding.

Hisense Remote Volume Not Working

Did the volume key stop working on your remote? Try this to get it working again.

The most common reason why your volume keys are no longer working on your Hisense remote is that the remote has become damaged. If the other keys are working, it may be that something spilled on the remote and is causing the keys to stick. Take apart the remote control and carefully clean the rocker arm. This will often get it working again.

If it is not just the volume key but also the other keys, it may be a problem with the batteries. Check to make sure the batteries weren’t taken for another device and install fresh batteries if necessary.

A reset of the remote may help. Here’s how to do it:

1. Use the power button to turn on the TV

3. Dial in the code ‘9 9 1’

4. Push the power button on the remote control and hold it and at the same time, push the channel up button until your TV turns off.

When the TV turns on, the remote should be paired.

Hisense Remote Not Pairing

Are you having a problem pairing your Hisense remote? It is an issue that is often easy to fix.

Starting from the very beginning is often the easiest way to fix a Hisense remote that is no longer pairing. Holding down the button that looks like a chat box and the rectangle button simultaneously will cause a red LED light to turn on. When you see the lights, release the buttons and the pairing process will take place automatically. After pairing, a blue light will flash three times.

That is the easiest way to pair the remote because it is automatic. If it isn’t working, try the second method that may help in some cases.

1. Find Bluetooth in the settings menu and turn Bluetooth on.

2. Press the ‘chat box’ and the ‘rectangle’ button simultaneously and hold for three seconds.

3. You should see ‘find nearby devices’, and pressing it will start the remote control searching for anything in the local area. You can use the up and down buttons to select the proper remote.

4. After being selected, press the okay button for the pairing process to complete.

Hisense Remote Not Responding

There are a number of things that can be done when your Hisense remote is no longer responding. One of these will often get it back up and working properly.

The two main reasons why a Hisense remote is not responding are due to old batteries or jammed buttons. Replacing the batteries with fresh batteries will help the remote to work properly, as weak batteries may not send a strong enough signal. If a button is jammed, none of the buttons will work. Press all of the buttons on the remote to see if you can fix the offending key.

Sometimes, it may be necessary to clean the remote control terminals. This is something that requires you to open up the remote and carefully work inside of it.

If the remote is under warranty, you shouldn’t open it because it will void the warranty. Otherwise, you can clean the terminals and it will often get things working again.

Check for anything that may be blocking the signal. This could include any electronic device or even the lights in your home. Disconnect things one at a time to make sure that the signal is not conflicting with the remote.

Finally, you can perform a reset of the TV by unplugging it, leaving it unplugged for 10 minutes, and plugging it back in again.

Hisense Remote Won’t Change Channel

Is your Hisense remote not changing channels? Here’s an easy fix.

Battery problems are the leading reason why a Hisense remote will change channels. The batteries may have been removed to use another device or they may have gotten weak enough that the signal is no longer reaching the TV. Replace the batteries, move closer to the TV, and see if the channel button is working.

It is also a good idea to check the channel buttons on the TV directly. There should be two buttons or a rocker arm that allow you to change the channels on the TV set. Changing them directly will allow you to see if it is a problem with the remote or not.

Anytime your Hisense remote is not working, check the batteries first. They may need replacing or they may have been inserted backward. Replacing the batteries with fresh, new batteries will allow a stronger signal to reach the TV from the remote. If the problem is not the batteries, there may be something obstructing the signal between the remote and the TV.
