How to Reset LG Soundbar

Soundbars are a superb way of enhancing the sound components of your home theatre system. They provide a great look and excellent sound quality. Usually, you will need to reset your LG Soundbar when you are having a problem with connectivity and with pairing between the LG Soundbar and your other digital devices, especially including your Smart TV.

To reset your LG sound bar, simultaneously press and hold the volume down button on the sound bar and the sound effect button on the remote control for at least 5 seconds. The display will show [E2P CLR] and the sound bar will power off automatically. Turn it back on to check if it is working properly.

There are several reasons why someone might need to reset their LG sound bar. One reason could be to fix any issues with the sound bar’s connectivity. If the sound bar is having trouble connecting to a device, resetting it can often resolve the issue.

Another reason to reset an LG sound bar is to restore its factory settings. If the user has changed the settings on the sound bar and wants to revert back to the original settings, resetting the sound bar will accomplish this.

A third reason to reset an LG sound bar is to troubleshoot any problems with the sound quality. If the sound bar is producing distorted or unclear audio, resetting it can sometimes improve the sound quality. Is There a Reset Button on LG Soundbar?

There is no actual reset button on the LG soundbar control panel. However, you can still reset the LG soundbar manually. One way to do this is to press and hold the Volume Down button on the soundbar and the Sound Effect button on the remote control simultaneously for more than 5 seconds. The E2P CLR message will be displayed and the power will turn off. This will reset all settings to their factory defaults.

How to Reset LG Soundbar to Factory Settings

Most of the time, the problems requiring a Factory Reset for an LG Soundbar are associated with problems with connectivity and syncing between the LG soundbar and other devices. A Factory Reset can often resolve this issue.

If you want to reset your LG Soundbar and reset your LG Soundbar to Factory Settings, the best way is to power the soundbar off and wait for 10 seconds. Once this is done, the soundbar will not retain any programming and will revert to all settings originally programmed at the factory.

How to Reset LG Soundbar Without Remote

Soundbars historically have run into problems syncing with digital devices. Fortunately, you can reset your LG Soundbar without using a Remote.

If you want to reset your LG Soundbar and reset your LG Soundbar without a remote, look for the Input and Bluetooth Buttons of your LG Soundbar. Press and Hold both Buttons for approximately ten seconds. At this point, the Soundbar should be reset.

If this does not work, you can try pressing both the Bluetooth Button and the Power Button at the same time for about ten seconds to reset your LG Soundbar.

As a third choice, you can try to hold down both the Power Button and the Volume Down Button for a period of ten seconds.

How to Reset LG Soundbar With Remote

If your LG Soundbar is malfunctioning, you can reset it using your Remote. Follow the steps below to reset your LG Soundbar.

If you want to reset your LG Soundbar and reset your LG Soundbar with your remote, press and hold down on the Volume Down Button on the Soundbar and press down on the Sound Effect Button on the Remote. This should reset your LG Soundbar.

Oftentimes, if your LG Soundbar is not failing or not functioning normally, it may be due to a problem with the Soundbar Remote. Resetting the Soundbar Remote can help to resync your Soundbar with all of your digital devices.

If you want to reset your LG Soundbar and reset your LG Soundbar Remote, find the Volume Down Button on the Soundbar Control Panel and the Sound Effect Button on the Remote. This will conduct a Hard Reset.

Hold them down at the same time for several seconds and then you will see the reset screen appear on the display panel of your LG Soundbar.

How to Reset LG Soundbar and Subwoofer

If your subwoofer is not producing sound normally, you can reset it and also reset your LG Soundbar. Try the following steps to try to resolve this issue.

If you want to reset your LG Soundbar and if you are not hearing any sound from the LG Soundbar and subwoofer and need to reset them, make sure that the LED lamp of the woofer is on. If it is not on, carefully check the power cables.

If you see that the Green light is blinking, or the Red Light is on, it indicates that the Woofer and LG Soundbar are not connected. If you continue to not have any sound from the Woofer, follow the steps outlined below to reset the LG Soundbar and Woofer.

Press Stop on the Soundbar and press the number six button on the Remote for at least five seconds. At this point, you will see on the display the message WL Reset. Now press the Pairing Button that is on the back of Woofer for at least five seconds. To do this, you can use a tool which is pointed or a bent paper clip.

Now, you should see the green and red lights blinking alternately on and off. Go ahead now and carefully unplug the power cable from the LG Soundbar and from the Woofer and then check to see if the Led Lamp has fully gone off.

Now, plug the power cords back in for the Soundbar and for the Woofer. Try turning the Soundbar back on. See if the green light of the Woofer is blinking rapidly and then stops. If so, the woofer should now be reset.

Be sure to check the sound again. If it is still not working, ty the following steps.

Go ahead and turn on the sub-woofer. See if there is a Red Light in front of the Sub-Woofer which indicates that it is in Standby Mode.

Once the Sub-Woofer is turned on, you should see a flashing green light which means that the Sub-Woofer is searching for the Soundbar to connect to it.

When the LG Woofer has found the LG Soundbar, the flashing green light will become a solid green color.

If the LG Woofer and Sub-Woofer and the LGF Soundbar are still not connecting, turn the Volume down on the Soundbar. If the volume is way up, it can interfere with connectivity between the Soundbar and the sub-woofer.

Hold down the Mute Button on the Sub-woofer for several seconds. Also, hold down the Stop Button on the Soundbar for a few seconds.

Put the Sub-woofer into pairing mode by pressing the pairing button on the back of the Sub-woofer using a pointed object for about five seconds.

Make sure to turn off any other devices that could affect connectivity between the LG Soundbar and the Woofer and Sub-woofer.

How to Reset LG Soundbar Bluetooth

Oftentimes, you may find that your LG Soundbar will suddenly disconnect from its Bluetooth connection. Then, it can become an actual nightmare as the Bluetooth Connection continues not to work after many and repeated attempts. The problem is usually from the LG Soundbar suddenly losing its WiFi connection and entering an Error Status that can be effectively remedied through a reset of the LG Soundbar Bluetooth connection.

If you want to reset your LG Soundbar and reset your LG Soundbar Bluetooth, make sure the Bluetooth is turned on. Turn the Bluetooth on and then off and try to pair it again. Take any obstructions that are between the Soundbar and the Bluetooth out of the way.

Make sure that your LG Soundbar is not far away from the Bluetooth device, as if they are far apart this can cause the connection to be disconnected and then totally lost.

You should also make sure that your Bluetooth is switched on. Try pairing the LG Soundbar with your LG Soundbar Bluetooth again to see if synchronization occurs this time.

If this doesn’t work, go ahead, and now perform some additional troubleshooting steps. First, make sure that you set your Soundbar to the BT Mode.

Try to connect to Bluetooth again. Now, unplug your LG Soundbar and wait for a period (about ten seconds) before plugging the power cord back into the wall socket. If this still does not reset the LG Soundbar Bluetooth, go on to this next troubleshooting step.

Check to see the model number of your LG Soundbar. Depending on the number, there will be slightly different troubleshooting steps to follow.  Be sure to power off the LG Soundbar and then turn it on again and try again to reconnect to Bluetooth again.

If your LG Soundbar has model numbers NB4530A, or NB2430A, Press Stop on the LG Soundbar and then press the Channel 0 Button at the same time on the Remote as you point it at the Soundbar.

If your LG Soundbar has model numbers NB5540, NB4540 or NB3540, press the Minus Button – on the LG Soundbar and the Channel 0 Button on the Remote as you point it at the Soundbar at the same time for a period of five seconds.

At this point, you should see a reading on the display of E2PCLR which indicates that the Error has now been cleared. At this point, your LG Soundbar should Power Off.

If your LG Soundbar has model numbers LAS855M or LAS751M, press the Minus Button – on the Soundbar and the Sound Effect Button on the Remote while pointing it at the Soundbar at the same time for five seconds. At this point, you should see a message indicating E2P CLR which means that the Error has been cleared and that the Soundbar will now turn off.

If your LG Soundbar has model numbers LAS551H and model number LAS450H, go ahead and press the Minus – Button on the Soundbar and the Bass/Treble Button on the Remote while pointing it at the Soundbar at the same time for five seconds. After this, you should see the message E2P CLR indicating that the Error has been cleared and at that point the LG Soundbar will then Power Off.

At this point, if you are still unable to resync your LG Soundbar with Bluetooth, it is probably necessary to consult with a Certified LG Soundbar Technician from a Certified Local LG Service Center.

How to Reset LG Soundbar WiFi

If your LG Soundbar keeps disconnecting it is probably from a poor WiFi connection. Resetting your LG Soundbar WiFi connection is usually the answer to this issue.

If you want to reset your LG Soundbar and reset your LG Soundbar WiFi, move any devices that are connected to the same WiFi network away from the LG Soundbar. Also, check the Router to make sure it is properly connected and if you need to reboot it simply turn it off and back on.

In addition, make sure WiFi is turned on all your smart devices. Restart the Router. Go ahead and turn the power off on the speakers and then turn it on again. If you are going to put a new router in, a factory reset of the router will be needed.

Make sure the WiFi network is connected to the LG Soundbar Speakers. In addition, be sure that there is a strong WiFi signal available at all times,and that the router is in close proximity to the wireless subwoofer.
