How to Reset Samsung Soundbar

Many people have wound up buying a Samsung Soundbar to enhance the audio component of the viewing of their favorite TV shows, movies or streaming of shows. Soundbars also greatly enhance the enjoyment of playing your favorite video games. In addition, nowadays, soundbars can connect with smartphones, in essence turning them into additional speakers. Soundbars are also relatively inexpensive and are generally not very difficult to set up. Even though Samsung Soundbars are of the highest quality, occasionally they develop problems, such as the soundbar not connecting to your Smart TV, the soundbar not connecting to your Samsung Subwoofer and the soundbar connecting to a Bluetooth but not issuing any sound at all. If you want to reset your Samsung Soundbar, try a soft reset to restart the Soundbar but which won’t lose any configuration. Turn the Samsung Soundbar off and unplug the Power Cord for a period of from one to two minutes. Then, plug the power cord back in and turn the Samsung Soundbar on again.

Is There a Reset Button on a Samsung Soundbar?

There is no reset button on the Samsung Soundbar. There is, however, a reset button on the Samsung Soundbar Remote. Follow these instructions to reset your Samsung Soundbar.

If you want to reset your Samsung Soundbar and see if there is a reset button on a Samsung Soundbar, since there is no reset button on the Samsung Soundbar, use the Samsung Soundbar Remote and press the Reset Button. This will bring up a Reset Screen on the Samsung Soundbar Display Screen.

You can also try other methods to try to reset your Samsung Soundbar. Reboot your Smart TV along with the Samsung Soundbar and the Samsung Subwoofer and pair all your devices again.

Be sure to remove any obstructions that may be between the Samsung Soundbar and your modem and your digital devices. Turn off any high frequency devices like microwave ovens or cordless telephones.

Turn the Samsung Soundbar on and, both the Remote and the Samsung Soundbar hold down on the Power Button at the same time.

Keep pushing down on both power buttons until you see the message on the display panel indicating INIT, OK. Now, check to see if the Samsung Soundbar has reset and the Soundbar is working properly.

How to Reset Samsung Soundbar to Factory Settings

A Factory Reset, which is also known as a Hard Reset, loads all the settings that were originally programmed into your Samsung Soundbar at the factory before shipping, back into the device. Hard Resets eliminate any user data, general settings or Bluetooth Settings that might have been loaded into your Samsung Soundbar. Here are the steps to doing a Factory Reset of your Samsung Soundbar.

If you want to reset your Samsung Soundbar and want to reset your Samsung Soundbar back to Factory Settings, turn the Samsung Soundbar On. Then, Press and Hold Down the Power Button on the Remote or on the Soundbar Control Panel.

At this point, you should see the message INIT OK on the Display Panel. Now the Soundbar should Restart. This should take less than one minute.

When your Samsung Soundbar turns back on, you will have to reconnect all your devices to it again. This is especially important for any Bluetooth-enabled devices that were connected previously. Also, be sure that any settings with personal aspects previously programmed into the soundbar are programmed in again.

If you want to reset your Samsung Soundbar and reset Samsung Soundbar with a remote, first, turn the Soundbar on using the On Button on either the Remote or on the Samsung Soundbar Control Panel itself. Hold the Power Button Down until you see the message INIT OK and the Soundbar should restart.

If you need to reset your Samsung Soundbar but don’t have the Remote, don’t fret. Fortunately, you can reset the Samsung Soundbar without a Remote.

If you want to reset your Samsung Soundbar and you want to reset your Samsung Soundbar without a Remote, turn on the power and press on Input and on Bluetooth on the Soundbar and hold both for ten seconds. Now, the Samsung Soundbar should be reset.

Without a Remote, you can also try to reset your Samsung Soundbar by pressing On/Off and the Bluetooth button at the same time. Hold them both for several seconds and then let them go and the soundbar should reset.

Thirdly, another way to reset your Samsung Soundbar without a Remote is to press On/Off and the Volume Down Buttons together and hold them in that position for ten seconds. Now check to see if the Samsung Soundbar has reset.

How to Reset Samsung Soundbar Remote

If you are having problems with your Samsung Soundbar and it appears that your Samsung Remote is not working properly, you can rapidly and easily reset the Samsung Soundbar Remote. Following the steps as outlined below, you can reset your Samsung Remote again.

If you want to reset your Samsung Soundbar and reset your Samsung Soundbar Remote, turn on the Samsung Soundbar power while holding down the Off Button on the Remote. Wait until you see INIT OK appearing on the Soundbar Display.

On older Samsung Soundbars, you may see the blinking of a red light indicating that the reset has been completed.

If your Samsung Soundbar will not connect to your Subwoofer, this can be easily remedied by resetting the Samsung Soundbar Subwoofer. Read on to learn about the steps to take to troubleshoot this issue so that you can reset the subwoofer.

If you want to reset your Samsung Soundbar and reset your Samsung Soundbar Subwoofer, go ahead, and unplug the power source from the outlet. Unplug the subwoofer. Now plug in both the subwoofer and the Samsung Soundbar. Now, press the Pairing Button on the Subwoofer.

The subwoofer on your Samsung Soundbar is what transmits sounds that are of a low frequency, like bass guitar and generally gives a deeper sound quality to the music you are listening to.

If it appears that the subwoofer is not working properly, first make sure that the subwoofer is turned on. Then, press on Sound Control and hold it down for from twenty to thirty seconds. Look on the Samsung Soundbar’s display panel to analyze the message displayed.

This will alert you to the type of firmware being used. At this point, you may need to perform an update of the subwoofer firmware using the SmartThing app.

You can also try to play an audio file that has low frequency sounds like a deep bass, so that you can see if the subwoofer is vibrating as output continues.

If nothing else is working, try to move the Samsung Soundbar closer to the subwoofer. Make sure that there is nothing obstructing the area between the subwoofer and the soundbar, including large pieces of furniture or Routers for your WiFi network or a Bluetooth Device or a Microwave Oven.

Now try unplugging the subwoofer for about thirty seconds and then plug the subwoofer back in.

How to Reset Samsung Soundbar Bluetooth

Your Samsung Soundbar is equipped with Bluetooth and so you do not need to be connected to your TV to listen to your favorite music. In addition, soundbars like your Samsung Soundbar, which have a subwoofer, produce the clearest sound. If you have lost connectivity with your Samsung Soundbar, you can quickly and easily reset your Samsung Soundbar Bluetooth.

If you want to reset your Samsung Soundbar and reset Samsung Soundbar Pairing, go to the App Drawer. Then, go to Settings and tap on Bluetooth. Select Connections. Make sure that Bluetooth is On. Select your Samsung Soundbar.

How to Reset Samsung Soundbar Bass

Many people with a Samsung Soundbar enjoy somewhat louder Bass when listening to music. This can be accomplished by adjusting the bass level on your subwoofer. The bass level can range from -6 to + 6 when compared with the sound levels of the other speakers.  

If you want to reset your Samsung Soundbar and reset the Samsung Soundbar Bass, press On to turn on the Soundbar. Then, Hold and Press the Power Button on either the Remote or on the Control Panel of the Soundbar. Now, keep pressing the Power Button and you will see INIT OK on the display panel.

It is extremely frustrating if your Samsung Soundbar fails suddenly because it has difficulty pairing with Bluetooth-enabled devices that play audio, such as your Smart TV or a tablet or a Smart Phone. Luckily, you can troubleshoot through several easy steps to determine the cause of the problem so that you can rapidly fix it. Follow the steps below to reset Samsung Soundbar Pairing.

If you want to reset your Samsung Soundbar and reset Samsung Soundbar Pairing, go to the App Drawer. Then, go to Settings and tap on Bluetooth. Select Connections. Make sure that Bluetooth is On. Select your Samsung Soundbar.

In addition, you can try another method to reinstitute Samsung Soundbar Pairing. Press on Source on either your Soundbar or Soundbar Remote multiple times until you see the display giving the message BT/WAIT/BT PAIRING.

Go ahead and be sure to verify that the device being connected to is indeed in pairing mode. Then, see if the firmware on your Samsung Soundbar has been recently updated.  

If the firmware has not been updated recently, download and install the update before attempting to reset the Samsung Soundbar Pairing again.

You may also have to perform a hard reset on the device you are trying to pair with. Take the battery out of the device if it has one to perform a hard reset.

If no battery is accessible, try a soft reset by turning the device off and then on again.

How to Reset Samsung Soundbar WiFi
