The no signal error message is one of the most common error messages that an LG monitor can display.

There are several reasons as to why the LG monitor HDMI port has no signal. The first is that the monitor isn’t looking at the correct port. You can check to see if this is the issue by going into the monitor’s input source screen and making sure the HDMI port is selected.

Other potential causes for the HDMI port to have no signal are a bad HDMI cable, faulty HDMI port, or even an outdated driver. The issue could also occur if the LG monitor has problems.

In order for the HDMI to work as intended, the LG monitor will first have to detect the HDMI cable.

When the LG monitor cannot detect the HDMI it will typically show a “No Signal” or “No HDMI Cable” message. This means that the monitor cannot detect the cable plugged into the port. Make sure that the HDMI cable is indeed plugged securely into the correct port.

If so, try a different HDMI cable or a different port. It is not uncommon for HDMI cables and ports to go bad over time. Alternatively, connect the HDMI cable to a different device to see if the issue is with the cable or the LG monitor.

When the LG monitor HDMI has no sound, the monitor may not have the correct sound/audio device selected in its sound settings. Open the Windows Control Panel and click on the Hardware and Sounds section. Ensure that the HDMI port is selected as the playback device.

Another thing to check is that the HDMI cable is not only installed in the right port, but that the cable is snug and not loose or hanging halfway out of the port.

Being able to use a monitor at its full screen size can help you work more efficiently and make the entertainment that you stream on your computer more enjoyable.

An LG monitor HDMI that isn’t full screen can sometimes be fixed by adjusting the settings. This will require right clicking on your desktop and clicking on AMD Radeon settings. When the box pops up, click on the tab that says Display and then move the HDMI slider to adjust the scaling.

The preview on the screen will show you in real time the quality of the scaling. When you find your preferred scaling position, apply the changes and the monitor should now be in full screen.

Another potential cause of the monitor not being full screen is an outdated driver. Try updating the display driver to see if that fixes the problem.

An LG monitor that has a black screen is an annoying problem that prevents you from enjoying the HDMI portion of your monitor. Thankfully, there are a few options available that may correct the problem.

When your LG monitor HDMI has a black screen, the first thing to try is to switch the inputs from HDMI to DP and then back to HDMI. If that doesn’t solve the problem, the issue could be a corrupted or outdated driver. Make sure the display driver is updated to the latest software.

If the driver is up-to-date, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling a driver to fix the black screen.

LG Monitor Stuck In HDMI Power Saving Mode

When the LG monitor is stuck in HDMI power saving mode, it may not actually be stuck in this mode at all and there could be a different problem at play.

LG monitors will go into power saving mode if they cannot detect a signal from the HDMI input. If there is an issue with the HDMI port or cable, it can cause the LG monitor to seem stuck in power saving mode. When it isn’t really stuck, it just cannot detect a signal.

Confirm that the monitor does have the correct port selected in the input source menu. If it is selected, unplug the HDMI cable and wait 10 minutes before plugging it in. When you plug the cable back in, make sure that the cable is properly inserted into the port.

If the LG monitor is still in power saving mode, test the HDMI cable on a different device to see if the issue is with the cable or the monitor. Additionally, you can use a new HDMI cable to test whether the old cable is bad.
