Roku NBC not Working

It can be very frustrating for your  Roku TV not to play your favorite NBC shows. It can be equally challenging whether you’re experiencing an authentication failure, authentication code mishap, lack of sound, low volume, repeated app crashes, or something else. This article will explain a few things you can do if you experience those issues.

You’ll need to try some solutions for different scenarios and then wait to see if those solutions resolve your problem. We’ll give you some processes to try, such as using an alternate authentication method, adjusting sound settings, removing apps, and the like.

Roku NBC Authentication Failure

An authentication failure may occur when you’re trying to watch an NBC item on your Roku device. This issue or problem could be due to several issues, such as browser problems, software issues, or problems with the app itself. You may have to go through the process of elimination to figure it out.

If you experience an authentication failure when trying to use the NBC app on your Roku TV, you may need to try activating it from a different browser, such as Chrome, instead of Internet Explorer or vice versa. If that does not seem to work, you can also update and restart the Roku device.

To check for available updates to your Roku device, you can press the “Home” button on your remote and then  scroll and select “Settings,” “System,” and then “System Update.” Next, select “Check Now” so that your unit will search for an available update. Your Roku TV will download and install new updates if there are any available, and then it will reboot itself. Check to see if your NBC application works after your television updates and reboots.

Roku NBC Can’t Activate/Activation Code not Working

You might fall into a situation where your activation code does not work when attempting to sign in to the NBC app on your Roku device. This can be annoying, but there is usually a quick solution to it that can get you up and running in no time.

If your activation code does not work for NBC on your Roku TV, you may need to clear the cache and cookies on the browser you’re using. You can usually find the commands to clear the cache by going into the browser’s settings menu for cleaning.

For example, you may have to select “Settings” and then “Clear Browsing Data” or something similar to that. Try to activate your NBC application once you’ve cleared the cache in that manner.

Roku NBC Crashing

It can be a drag to experience NBC crashing on your Roku device. The good news is that you might be able to stop your unit from crashing with a few quick solutions. The problem might lie with the application or the software on your television. It could also have something to do with your internet connection or a more serious problem with the Roku device that causes it to overheat. You’ll need to go through a process to uncover the issue causing the app to crash repeatedly.

If your NBC app keeps shutting down, you may want to try allowing your Roku TV to cool down. Pull the plug on the Roku device and then allow it to sit for two to five minutes. Check for obstructions or items that may be causing your unit not to get any ventilation.

Rectify the situation if you can, and then plug the unit back in and let it boot back up. If that quick fix does not do the trick, you may need to update your Roku device. You can initiate your update by pressing on the “Home” button and then moving on to “Settings” and then “System” and then “System Update” and “Check Now.” As mentioned earlier, your Roku device will download and install the update if a recent one is available for it to download.

Roku NBC Channel not Loading

You might experience a failure of the NBC channel to load on your Roku TV. The television might give you an error message, or you might see some version of a failure page. You can try a couple of tricks to resolve the issue, as it may be occurring because of an internet connection problem or service issue.

If NBC content does not load on your Roku, the first thing you should do is reboot your Roku TV. To do that, you will need to navigate to “Settings,” “System,” and then “System Restart.” This process will allow your Roku device to shut down properly and reset itself.

Try to load the NBC content again if you get a failure message after that. The next thing you should check if you continue to experience the problem is your internet connection and how close your router is to the television. You may need to completely reset your router or take your TV into the same room where it is. You can easily reset your router or modem by finding the reset button on those devices and pressing it to start the process.

Roku NBC App no Sound

You may wonder what’s going on if you do not hear any sound from your NBC app on your Roku device. The problem could come from an issue with your settings, an app glitch, or something else. It would be best to try a few things to see if you can eventually fall on the correct issue.

If your NBC app is producing no sound on your Roku, the first thing to do is to check to see if you have mute mode activated. Find the mute button on your remote control and press it to reactivate the mode if it’s on. You may also have the volume controls turned down.

Thus, you might need to adjust the settings so that you can hear the audio as you watch your favorite television shows.

Roku NBC App Low Volume

It can be very upsetting to try to watch a TV show and have the volume come out barely audible. The problem may be due to a setting you have set or an issue with the app or the Roku device.

If your NBC app has a low volume on your Roku, you will need to first check your device’s audio settings to ensure that you have them set to a reasonable volume. If the problem persists only for the NBC app, you may need to uninstall and then reinstall the app itself.

Press the “Home” button on your control and then navigate to “Channels” to view your list of channels. Select the one you want to remove, NBC, and then click OK when prompted to do so. You’ll then need to reinstall it to see if your problem still exists.

NBC Roku App Live TV not Working

If live TV is not working on your Roku device for NBC, you may be experiencing an internet issue that isn’t allowing it to play. Check your internet speed, and if necessary, reboot your modem, router, and Roku device. Your problem should be resolved after that.
