If your Blink camera won’t connect, be sure your device is connected to a working network, move the camera close to the Sync Module, confirm that the pull tabs have been removed from a Blink Floodlight, and be sure to replace old batteries with AA lithium-ion batteries.
If your Blink camera isn’t showing, the device connected to the camera may not be connected to Wifi, the batteries might need to be replaced on the camera itself, edit the filter options for each camera within the Blink app, and try resetting the router if you suspect the network connection is bad.
Blink camera problems can be resolved by checking the battery status within the Blink application, changing the batteries when a low battery indicator appears, replacing the batteries with AA lithium-ion batteries, and shortening the length of clips the camera records.
When the Blink camera won’t connect to the sync module, the first thing to try is to restart the device. Hold down the button located on the sync module’s side. The light will turn red and the system will be reset. You will need to reinstall the module back on the Blink app in order to use the camera.
When the Blink camera is blinking red and green, that signals that the camera has found the local IP address but cannot connect to the internet. Try restarting the router to see if that corrects the issue. If not, then reset the camera by pressing the reset button.
If you see a “Camera Offline” message that says “Your Blink Mini is offline,” it means the Blink servers have lost contact with the camera. When the network is restored or when there is reduced traffic on the Wi-Fi network, this will usually resolve itself.
If your Blink Camera is not recording sometimes, adjust the delay in the Retrigger Time. This is the time between the cameras detecting motion and recording. If the retrigger time is too long, any motion in the time frame will not be detected and will not be recorded.
You can change Wi-Fi on your Blink Camera by doing a factory reset. This will delete any saved information and preferences. Press and hold the rest button until the red light turns blue. The camera has now been returned to its original factory settings.
If your Blink Camera is not updating, make sure you have enough signal strength to allow for updates. You can also manually update firmware by going to the Blink Camera settings and selecting General > Software Update > Automatic Updates. Follow the onscreen instructions.
