How to Reset Samsung Soundbar

Many people have wound up buying a Samsung Soundbar to enhance the audio component of the viewing of their favorite TV shows, movies or streaming of shows. There is no reset button on the Samsung Soundbar. There is, however, a reset button on the Samsung Soundbar Remote. Follow these instructions to reset your Samsung Soundbar.

Without a Remote, you can also try to reset your Samsung Soundbar by pressing On/Off and the Bluetooth button at the same time. Hold them both for several seconds and then let them go and the soundbar should reset.

If it appears that the subwoofer is not working properly, first make sure that the subwoofer is turned on. Then, press on Sound Control and hold it down for from twenty to thirty seconds. Look on the Samsung Soundbar’s display panel to analyze the message displayed.

This will alert you to the type of firmware being used. At this point, you may need to perform an update of the subwoofer firmware using the SmartThing app.

You can also try to play an audio file that has low frequency sounds like a deep bass, so that you can see if the subwoofer is vibrating as output continues.

If nothing else is working, try to move the Samsung Soundbar closer to the subwoofer. Make sure that there is nothing obstructing the area between the subwoofer and the soundbar, including large pieces of furniture or Routers for your WiFi network or a Bluetooth Device or a Microwave Oven.

Now try unplugging the subwoofer for about thirty seconds and then plug the subwoofer back in.

Your Samsung Soundbar is equipped with Bluetooth and so you do not need to be connected to your TV to listen to your favorite music. Many people with a Samsung Soundbar enjoy somewhat louder Bass when listening to music. This can be accomplished by adjusting the bass level on your subwoofer. The bass level can range from -6 to + 6 when compared with the sound levels of the other speakers.

Luckily, you can troubleshoot through several easy steps to determine the cause of the problem so that you can rapidly fix it. Follow the steps below to reset Samsung Soundbar Pairing.

If you want to reset your Samsung Soundbar and reset Samsung Soundbar Pairing, go to the App Drawer. Then, go to Settings and tap on Bluetooth. Select Connections. Make sure that Bluetooth is On. Select your Samsung Soundbar.

In addition, you can try another method to reinstitute Samsung Soundbar Pairing. Press on Source on either your Soundbar or Soundbar Remote multiple times until you see the display giving the message BT/WAIT/BT PAIRING.

Go ahead and be sure to verify that the device being connected to is indeed in pairing mode. Then, see if the firmware on your Samsung Soundbar has been recently updated.  

If the firmware has not been updated recently, download and install the update before attempting to reset the Samsung Soundbar Pairing again.

You may also have to perform a hard reset on the device you are trying to pair with. Take the battery out of the device if it has one to perform a hard reset.

If no battery is accessible, try a soft reset by turning the device off and then on again.
