If YouTube is still freezing and crashing after completing the previous steps, it may be time to delete and reinstall the application on your Smart TV. This process will differ in steps depending on the brand of TV you have, but by deleting the app, you can get rid of any corrupted data within.
If YouTube is not connecting on your smart TV, be sure that your TV is successfully connected to a network. The process will vary for each TV brand, however, the majority of TVs will have connection information listed under ‘Settings.’ Once there, confirm that a successful connection is made.
If YouTube is not full screen on your smart TV, take your remote, and at the bottom of the video player from within YouTube, tap the full-screen mode icon. Once this has been clicked, the video should immediately expand and you should then be able to watch content on a full screen.
YouTube may not work on a Hisense TV if the firmware is outdated, your internet is poor or too slow, the cache is full or the YouTube server is down. Some videos will not play because they are not available in your region. You may also need to check the TV audio settings if the sound does not work.
If your TCL TV is showing YouTube with a black screen, no picture, or a green screen, a simple fix of resetting your TV could be the solution. To reset your TCL TV, unplug your TV directly from its power source and wait for a full 60 seconds before plugging it back in and trying YouTube once more.
If YouTube Keeps freezing or crashing on your Sony TV, it is likely that the application needs to be updated. To do this, press ‘Home’ on your remote > ‘Apps’ > ‘Google Play Store’ > ‘YouTube’ > then select the app to see if an update is available. If there is, follow the instructions to complete.
If you cannot sign in to YouTube on your Sony TV, be sure that you have the latest firmware installed on your TV. To do this, press the ‘Home’ button on your remote > ‘Settings’ > ‘Setup/Product Support’ > ‘Software Update’ > ‘Network’ > then select ‘OK’ to install any new firmware updates.
Your LG TV YouTube app will not work if you have poor network connection, an overloaded cache, firmware bugs or are using YouTube in the Web Browser. You can troubleshoot these issues by resetting the network or TV, updating the app or TV, reinstalling the app or adjusting the TV’s WiFi settings.
If Roku YouTube won’t download or install, it may be helpful to reset your Roku device. To do this, press the ‘Home’ button on your remote and select ‘Settings’ > ‘System’ > ‘Advanced System Settings’ > ‘Factory Reset’ > then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset process.
If Roku YouTube is displaying a black or blank screen, it may be that system resources are being too heavily used, which may cause the screen to go out. To free up space within your Roku device, delete any applications that are not being used to help improve overall performance.
To update the YouTube app on your Vizio TV, press the ‘Home’ button on your remote control, select ‘YouTube,’ press the yellow button on your remote, then select ‘Update.’ To reset the YouTube app on your Vizio TV, refer back to the previous section “Vizio TV Youtube App Black Screen.”
If the YouTube app on your Samsung TV has disappeared, it may be that your TV is no longer compatible with the application after an update occurred (such as the EH5300 and FH6200 models). If you have either of these models, you will have to access YouTube through a different medium.
